Item Type: Other
Additional Information: The litograph of the thematically arranged (Written) Mongolian–Chinese dictionary after a pen-written original. The first two volumes contain the table of contents and a Chinese index which is followed by 8 volumes of the dictionary itself. The physical original volumes were rebound in pairs during the course of the last century erroneously following the original Chinese binding's right-to-left arrangement (despite the fact that the contents — except for the first two volumes — rather follow the Mongolian's left-to-right arrangement). Acquired by Louis Ligeti between 1929–1931. Further information: Kara, György 2000: The Mongol and Manchu Manuscripts and Blockprints in the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Budapest: Akadémiai Kiadó. pp. 57–59.
